Celebrating European Day of Languages with cheese
Pupils marked European Day of Languages by taking part in a cheese tasting session and competition.
Organised by Morpeth School's Modern Foreign Languages Department, pupils were invited to the lunch time event where they tasted a selection of cheese and guessed which country they came from.
Congratulations to Megan in Year 7, who was declared the winner, making her cheese connoisseur of the school.
The cheese tasted came from Spain, Holland, France, Greece, Norway, Denmark, England, Switzerland and Wales.
European day of Languages is promoted by the Council of Europe to encourage intercultural understanding and is held on 26th September every year.
