Head of Mathematics

We are looking to appoint a Head of Mathematics who is not just passionate about mathematics, but also about instilling an appreciation of the joy of mathematics in the students we proudly serve. Our vision of mathematics is fundamentally an inclusive one in that we believe that the knowledge and virtues wrought by mathematics, its beauty and humanity, help us all to flourish. As our new Head of Mathematics, supported by three post holders, you will be instrumental in leading a department of dedicated teachers to realise and sustain this vision from key stage 3 to 5. 

We want our students to be curious about their mathematics, and work to equip them with the deep, coherent understanding of mathematics necessary for procedural fluency to follow. We have high expectations of ourselves and our students, and work hard to ensure that our students mature, mathematically and relationally, intellectually and emotionally, in a safe, supportive, challenging, and creative environment that fosters the highest aspirations.
