Designated Safeguarding Practitioner and Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
Salary Scale: TA Scale 3, 15hrs 25min per week & as Safeguarding Practitioner Scale 6, 15hrs 25min
Actual salary: £19,692 - £20,250 depending on length of service.
Total Hours::30 hrs 50 mins, term-time only
Weekly Hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30 am – 3.30 pm
Morpeth School is a popular, fully inclusive 11-19 comprehensive school located in Bethnal Green. We are seeking to appoint a maternity cover for the post of a Safeguarding Practitioner to work alongside the Safeguarding Leads to implement the appropriate child protection procedures. The remainder of their time will be as a Teaching Assistant working within the Behaviour Support Team. Candidates must have strong literacy and numeracy skills and the academic ability to support students effectively within the school curriculum. A minimum of a good GCSE pass in English and Maths is essential. The purpose of the role is to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, enabling them to take as full a part in the school curriculum as possible and ensuring that they make appropriate progress.
This post is 30 hrs 50 mins per week, term time only, NJC Scale 3 and 6 depending on experience
Closing date: Noon on Monday 28th October 2019, with interviews the following week.
