European Day of Languages was marked with a cheese tasting competition open to pupils and staff.

Organised by the Modern Foreign Languages Department, competitors had to identify which cheese they had tasted based on a list of names provided. Manchego and Gruyère proved to be very popular, St Agur less so.

Competition winners were Tasnin (9M), Mohammed (8T) and Tahera (8E).

The staff winner was Assistant Headteacher, Ms Downes.

European Day of Languages is held on 26th September every year to encourage the learning of languages, and to highlight Europe’s cultural diversity.
