Impressing the 'Dragons' at Deutsche Bank
Year 12 BTEC students stepped up to the challenge of inventing and persuading investors to put money in to a new product they designed, during a mock session of Dragon’s Den at Deutsche Bank.
The group of 24 students worked closely with the bank’s volunteers on inventing and pitching their products.
The winning team (Mirjan, Thahmid, Hamza and Younis) created 'T-app', a mobile phone application that lets users run a bath for themselves whilst they are on their way home from work.
Their polished and confident pitch included costing and marketing, which impressed the volunteers.
All students gained a lot from the day; they particularly enjoyed meeting people who work in the world of finance and finding out about their roles.
