Biggest residential trip for two years takes place

Morpeth School's biggest residential trip for two years recently took place when over 100 Year 11 GCSE Geography students went on a two night field trip to Surrey.

Pupils had the opportunity to put what they had learned in the classroom into practice outside.

They investigated the impacts of regeneration in Leatherhead and examined how the sea defences in Seaford influence people's sense of place.

Students used qualitative methods of collecting data including annotated field sketches and photographs, Environmental Quality Assessments and Goad Maps.

Head of Geography Mr Rahman said: "All the pupils who attended demonstrated fantastic teamwork skills, excellent behaviour and attitude to learning."
