Careers information is delivered through the school‘s CPSHEE (Citizenship, Personal,Social and Health, Economic Education) programme from Year 7 until Year 11 according to statutory requirements preparing pupils for post 16. Year 8 pupils experience an intensive one day Careers Exploration day ‘The Real Game‘. Year 9s prepare for Key Stage 4 and Year 10s/11s focus on Post 16 choices.
Making informed choices
Pupils visit Higher Education institutes, Careers fairs, work-related learning sessions and other events to enable them to make informed career choices. Year 9 pupils attend ‘Experience of Work‘ and Year 10 spend a half day at a local university and a local college. Morpeth Careers Fair is held every 2 years on the Tutor/Parent Day in the Autumn Term.

One to one guidance
Miranda Ellison is the personal adviser from Connexions. She works with pupils twice a week giving guidance and support. The Careers office is open at lunchtimes on Tuesday and Wednesday for drop in sessions. Other school career resources are the Library,there are in house career computer programmes on the school network.
