PUPILS STEAM AHEAD IN TALL TOWERS CHALLENGE
Pupils attending the extra-curricular STEAM CLUB in the Morpeth School Library took on the tall challenge of building towers out of paper and tape.
Competing in groups, they tackled the task of constructing the tallest freestanding tower made out of newspaper and held together with sticky tape. The ground rules were to research, question then make.
STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. The club has been set up to support education in the five subject areas, which are seen as essential to the nation’s future economic development.
Details of other extra-curricular activities can be found on the ‘For Pupils’ section of the school website.
